Second component test in sub-project C02/E02 DIVING

As part of the DIVING research project, a further component test was carried out at the Bauhaus University Weimar. The focus here was on damage detection in the early damage phase. For this purpose, a combination of measurements from acceleration sensors (Fig. 2), acoustic emission, impact echo and strain measurements with Digital Image Correlation (DIC) (Fig. 1 and 3), strain gauges (DMS) and Distributed Fibre Optic Sensing (DFOS) were carried out during the gradual damage of a reinforced concrete structure. Many thanks to all those involved from the Test Engineering Centre (VTE) and the Materials Research and Testing Institute (MFPA) at the Bauhaus University Weimar, as well as the Chair of Structural Analysis and Structural Dynamics at the University Rostock.
